The best care you can give
Life happens! We all get sick at some time or another. Fortunately, we offer invaluable help with nursing assistance - from the simplest to the most complex of care needed! Some of the treatments we can provide for post operative care and disease & illness management include:
⦁ Application and removal of bandages, splints, slings, etc.
⦁ Wound management including antiseptic irrigation and the application of foam dressings, collagen dressings, and topicals such as medical grade manuka honey
⦁ Medication administration including topical, oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular, intravenous, and rectal routes
⦁ Bladder palpation and manual expression
⦁ Passive range of motion exercises, ball & saddle exercises, and assisted walking
⦁ Tube feeding and maintenance for nasoesophageal, nasogastric, esophagostomy, and jejunostomy tubing. This can be requested as an instructional visit for the owners to continue care afterwards.
⦁ Collection of biometric data including normal vitals (temperature, pulse, respirations, respiratory effort, mucous membrane color, capillary refill time) and advanced vitals (blood glucose and blood pressure measurement)
⦁ Simple procedures such as ear cleaning, eye cleaning, nail trims, and anal gland expression can be added on if approved by the referring veterinarian
And more by request of your veterinarian!
